i miss saturday nights.

 the old ones.

slumber parties.

before they entailed vodka, high heels, bars, short skirts, small talk, smoking and sex.

i miss saturdays that revolved around girlfriends,
before there was anything to gossip about.
when we watched movies to know what love and loss were.
when we ate popcorn, without counting calories.
when we stayed up all night on sugar alone.
when giggling was what determined a good night.

i miss that.
